Mohd Khairull Amadi Yusoff believes that willing to learn, strong will, diligent, full with positivity and have big dreams are the qualities that will make agents succeed in real estate industry. With years of hard work, he became one of the most fast-growing real estate team in Malaysia.
- Why did you choose to enter the real estate industry?
At the beginning of my real estate journey, I chose to set foot in this industry to generate extra income, settle all the remaining debts and at the same time provide my family with a much comfortable life than what we previously were. I’ve been on payroll for few jobs more than 10 years but still have not achieved those three (3) life goals I’ve mentioned before. I felt my life moving towards betterment bit by bit since I’ve joined the real estate industry. That’s why I chose this career path since then and I do believe this is the answer that I’ve been searching for all my prior difficulties. And I truly believe that this industry can help others who are experiencing similar economic hardship. I will continuously strive to prove this to myself and hope to inspire others that they could change their life too. What important are strong will and self-empowerment plus broad opportunities and platform offered by the real estate industry.
- What are the entry standard for entering this industry?
That is the beauty of this industry. It does not hold any special requirement or differentiate you based on anything. As long as you are willing to learn, strong will, diligent, full with positivity and have big dreams, you are most welcomed and most likely to succeed in this industry.
- What qualities do you think a real estate agent should possess to succeed in this industry?
Good work etiquettes and presentable are few of qualities needed besides others that I’ve mentioned previously for you to be successful. You should not only focus to pursue profits. Helping others should be your virtue. Profit will come along. That’s for sure. Not to worry.
- How did you stand out in the industry and make customers to choose you?
Instead of being a real estate negotiator (REN), I try to become the client’s friend. We are all comfortable with our friends, right? I would like my client to feel the same way. I would like them to feel comfortable around me. They can tell me whatever their difficulties or request lingering in their mind and I will try my best to help and provide solution that suits their need.
- In your personal sales career, what has left you with impressive memories?
The best memories I have along my career is the satisfaction whenever my clients shows that big bright smile as they found their dream home and their most awaiting home financing has been approved. That joyous moment is what I cheered the most. It’s also a boost that keep me going in this line of career.
- Who do you want to thank the most?
First of all, all praise to Allah the Almighty for giving me the opportunity to be in this industry and surrounded by impressive people. I would like to thank my parents for their everlasting guidance that brought me here today. I would like to thank my other half, Hamidah binti Abdullah, who always be on my side in better and worst, who pick me up when I’m down and most importantly, she is the one that introduced me to this industry. I would also like to thank my siblings and relatives for giving me continuous moral support and prayers. And also thanks to all real estate agent coaches especially Sis Noor,who helped me kickstart in project sale, Aizat Jamaludin, who helped me kickstart in sub-sale property, CC Norisma and her partner, Haris Hans who pave the way in my career and keep pushing my limit higher. And I would like to express my gratitude to my boss, Firdaus, in providing a platform to set my footing and grow in this industry through one of the best Real Estate Agency in Malaysia, Firdaus & Associates Property Professionals (FAPP) agency. FAPP is the first Bumi agency won the MIEA Real Estate Agency Firm of the Year (Small Firm Category) Award and also Real Estate Special Awards 2019 Focus Malaysia Award. - How do you lead the team and make it easier for team members to succeed in this industry?
Having an organized and efficient system in Firdaus & Associates Property Professionals is an advantage as a leader to guide new members. We’re also well-equipped with training programs to prepare the newly joined members with all the knowledge and work etiquette to better serve the client needs. Weekly activity will be conducted by leader to bring the group closer and indirectly nurture the teamwork and cooperation among the members.
- How should a new real estate agent choose a real estate agency?
In my opinion, a newcomer in the industry should look out for a company with great achievement and accountability that have an organized system, well known in public and most importantly taking good care of the member wellbeing and progress. Honestly, Firdaus & Associates Property Professionals offers all of that to the newcomer and existing member.
- Technology is changing the world, what real estate agent should do?
Real estate agency also changing in fast pace with technology. If before this, we have seen people were advertising their property in newspaper or pamphlet, nowadays technology have taken over this role. Currently, most of the advertising are done through online website. Real estate negotiator (REN) should adapt with the technology and well versed in using them such as online advertising and social media branding. For a real estate agency, online documentation system, customized personal website for members and online training should be integrated to optimize the technology use and boost members as well as agency productivity.
- What are your personal plans for the future?
I have a lot in my mind actually. Being a trainer/coach is one of it. I would like to help and facilitate new and existing RENs from all background to achieve their goals. I’m thinking of dive in property investment too to generate passive income. And I humbly hope I can be an inspiration to all members in this industry and bring up Firdaus & Associates Property Professionals name to be amongst the best agency in South East Asia.
- Are there any problems in this industry that you feel obligated to let the public or those who want to enter this industry need to pay attention?
Every industry has their own challenges. Even real estate industry has their own unique challenges. However, I do believe the real challenge is in ourselves and not in the industry itself. If you can overcome those inner challenges and be a better version of yourself day in day out, I believe you can be successful in whatever industry you are in. As for myself, I have these two (2) principles. The first one is don’t do anything half-heartedly. Give your best when you do anything. And the second one is, if I may in Malay, “Hanya yang Laju akan Maju.” What I mean by that is those who take action will advance. And in this fast-pacing industry, we are bound to do it swiftly to be successful. That’s all. Thank you.
