在创立Secretroom Salon之前，Oscar经历了迷茫浮沉的岁月。他曾学修车、经营电话生意，并在初次创业时赚取了人生第一桶金，但也因合伙人卷款而陷入困境。正当他低谷时，妻子鼓励他进入美发行业。他在美发学院学习九个月后，获得了英国专业文凭，掌握了精湛技艺，踏上了美发之路。2023年，他创立了Secretroom Salon Malaysia，致力于提供五星级美发服务。创业初期，Oscar面临现金流短缺和客户不足的挑战。所幸在团队的支持下，他成功度过了艰难的前五个月，生意逐渐步入正轨。谈到团队时，他说：“他们在困难时期选择只领佣金，减轻了我的运营压力。”
Oscar坚信，坚持总会带来惊喜。这种信念，以及妻子和团队的支持，激励着他在困境中保持信心和勇气。如今，Secretroom Salon已经吸引了众多客户，以优质服务和舒适环境成为美发业的标杆。与此同时，Oscar还热心参与公益活动，作为狮子会核心成员，他积极参与义剪，并与槟城州政府合作为经济困难群体提供免费理发服务，回馈社会。

Oscar Goh Jia Yong, founder of Penang’s renowned hair salon Secretroom Salon, has stood out in the highly competitive beauty industry with his persistence and innovative mindset, creating a wave of transformation. With his unique international perspective, he set new high standards for service, elevating the overall quality of the beauty industry and becoming a leading figure.
Before establishing Secretroom Salon, Oscar experienced uncertain times. He studied car repair and ventured into the phone business, earning his first income but unfortunately faced a major setback when a partner absconded with the funds. At his lowest point, his wife encouraged him to explore the hairdressing industry. After nine months of training and obtaining a British professional certificate, he mastered the craft and began his career. In 2023, he founded Secretroom Salon Malaysia, aiming to provide five-star hairdressing services. The initial phase was challenging, with cash flow issues and a lack of customers. Fortunately, with strong support from his team, he overcame the first five difficult months, gradually putting the business on track.
Oscar believes that perseverance always leads to surprises. With the unwavering support of his wife and team, he maintained confidence and courage throughout. Today, Secretroom Salon has attracted a broad customer base, setting a benchmark for quality service and comfort. Additionally, as a key member of the Lions Club, Oscar actively participates in charitable initiatives, offering free haircuts to the underprivileged and collaborating with the Penang State Government to give back to the community. Looking ahead, Secretroom Salon aims to recruit more talented professionals and become a long-term leader in the beauty industry, delivering value to customers and fulfilling dreams.
